to the airport on arrival and collected again when you check in for the
return flight. Most vehicles are less than two years old and reliable. With
one, you can reach all the empty beaches and beautiful places that are not
accessible to normal cars or taxis. Petrol is cheaper than in Europe and
you will not use much.

"Despite having visited Sal on several occasions, hiring a Jimny for a
week meant we got to all sorts of different spots on the island, as and
when we wanted. It speeded up trips into Espargos and Santa Maria and we
