Property in Santa AntaoPontas do Sol and Paul villas and flatsA small new development of villas on the northern shore of Santa Antao , near the sleepy town of Ribiera Grande. Spencer Construcoes, a Mindelo company founded in 2006 has bought some land along the north coast of this mountainous island with sea views. There will initially be only 26 detached and semi-detached villas on a seafront plot, with a shared swimming pool and restaurant. Vista Oceano-Residence is in Ponta do Sol, close to the small harbour on the north coast of Santa Antao. Vista Oceano-Residence has studios and one and two bedroom apartment. Prices for flats are from £40,000 for one bedroom. There are also proposals for a villa development along the coast. They are 2 bed layouts with 2 bathrooms built in plots of a total area of 300 to 400 sqm.. The buildings are offered full furnished with fully equipped kitchens. Another condominium to be named Vista Oceano currently awaiting approval will have 50 flats overlooking the coastline at Ponta do Sol near the disused airstrip. The same company plans a small shopping centre at Ponta do Sol, which currently has just one small restaurant andhardly any shops at all. At Paul just up the coastit will build a small settlement of 12 flats with a panormaic restaurant. No prices are posted for the dwellings, which appear to have a rather square Portuguese look. But given the lack of accessibility and low land prices they should be relatively inexpensive. |
