Morabeza Beach Development SantiagoOn Sao Francisco BeachOutline planning consent has been granted in December 2007 for a small holiday home and hotel development on the island of Santiago, Cape Verde. Detailed planning approval is expected during 2008. Morabeza beach resort will have eventually 300 two and three bedroom apartments, 14 Villas and a small hotel with 28 bedrooms. Prices start from £115,000 for a one bedroom apartment, The position is below Sambala down towards the beach and further around it to the North. There is no date set as yet for building to start and that will need detailed planning permission. The site suffers along with Sambala and the Casa Group`s Sao Francisco development from very poor access along a dreadful road. No doubt this will be repaired in due course. The promoters claim in an obvious reference to Sambala "While some may argue that the beach here is shorter, one thing is clear: this will be the ONLY development directly on it. No other competition for direct access to the beach, and no one in front."It is being sold by a company based in Shrewsbury.
