South of Sal Rei on beautiful Estori Beach

This is a much better beach than Praia Cabral and is just in the southern outskirts of Sal Rei where the small dive centres and windsurf stations are located. It faces due west and looks out onto the island of Sal Rei across a pretty bay. The whole area between the beach and the main road from Sal rei to the airport is being built up with blocks of flats. Most do not have sea views or access to swimming pools, which reduces their potential for the holiday letting market.

Relax Building

Relax is on the road out of Sal Rei towards the airport and well back fromn the beach. In the basement area it will have a godown or storage area with shops along thje road and 12 two or three bedroom apartments above. There will be a shared garden area behind the building. No prices as yet.

Ca Daniela

Just behind the Relax , this will be a smaller apartment block with 8 shops on the road frontage and 18 studio apartments above. It is just outside Sal Rei on the road to the airport. and a long way back from the beach.. Hence prices are low at £40,000.

Milagro Flats

A block close the Estoril Beach hotel partly blocking its access to the beach. This is nearing completion andsome are sold sales come up from time to time. The same builder is putting up a new development called Pordosol on the northern coast road past Cabral Beach. So it is worth checking out these flats to see the completed build quality, which appears to be better than most. rices are from £37,000 to £45,000 for 9 one bedroom apartments and 3 smaller studios.

Ca Lele Multi Family House

The Ca Lele apartment block will be an unusual red building close to the Estoril beach on the edge of Sal Rei. They have quite large, attractively fenced balconies with wooden palings. This is where the nicest hotels are situated and it is likely eventually to become a focal point of the Boa Vista holiday scene. The apartments are relatively large and will cost £60,000 each. There will be only 10 in the block so it is a better size than some of the new blocks being built on Sal.

Apartmento Das Gatas

Oddly named Cat flats . it is next to the Estoril beach Hotel and shielded by it from a full seaview, it is still closer to the beach than most other developments. it will have eight studios and four 2 bedroom apartments with a larger apartment, on the top floor. The studios are expensive at £75,000.

Ca Nicola

Two blocks of apartments built a little to the east of Manduna and further inland, abiout 200m back from the beach. One is completed and the second is largely sold. But resales are often available. Some are now available for holidays, as the property operates as an aparthotel, run by italians.

Plans show sveral hotels marked in for the future. Estoril Beach Hotel may close for refurbishing and expansion for the future tourist boom. Boa Vista Social Club is an interesting concept. Jose and Harry have set up abandoned containers on the beach and planted ample vegetation around. You cannot see the containers, they are covered in reeds. The "club" has a very African feel to it.
