Description of apartment and resortThis apartment is located within the Porto Antigo Complex in Santa Maria on Sal island. It has a roof terrace and is on two floors, one being a mezzanine that projects into the main room. It is situated neaar the entrance and so is subject to passing pedestriant traffic, which can be noisy. Itl has views of the sea shore, swimming pool and small beach out to the south protected by the old harbour walls. There is a small secluded sandy beach and a much larger open beach the other side of the hotel that intersects the complex. There is also a 10m swimming pool, The complex includes the Papaya restaurant and bar just beyond the swimming pool. This serves pizza and baked potato. In the town itself there are plenty of restaurants as well as shops. A from Dublin says you must pick your flat with care. "Stayed there in March, great location and lovely apartments. Have one near the pool or you could well be in the shade all day. If you are put near the entrance it is not great and you will have people moving through all day and night.
